About the Marlboro Alliance

The Marlboro Township Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse is part of a statewide program of municipal alliances that are aimed at the prevention of alcoholism and drug abuse.  Alliance funding is primarily provided by the Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (D.E.D.R. Funds, Drug Enforcement and Demand Reduction Funds).  Additional funding is provided by Marlboro Township, donations and fund raisers.

The mission of the Alliance continues to be the same as when first started in 1990.  Our goal is to act as a catalyst within our community to raise public awareness about substance abuse issues. We aim to develop and implement substance abuse prevention programs and services, based on the needs of our community.

We are dedicated to providing all our residents with a substance abuse free environment.

We encourage responsible decision making by our youth and parents, especially as it relates to drugs and alcohol.  We believe in developing positive peer pressure and through the efforts of everyone working together our goal will be achieved.
